In Enfield North the 2005 General Election was contested for the liberal democrats by Simon Radford. He succeeded in increasing the vote for the party, but unfortunately didn't secure a seat in Parliament. When everything had calmed down after the election, Simon was offered a scholarship to study in America. He may be thousands of miles away - but his heart is still with Enfield Liberal Democrats!
